Ankit Singh Mahara: Aiming for the Defence Forces and Community Upliftment

Ankit Singh Mahara, originally from the village of Udiyari, is a recent graduate of Himalayan Inter College (HIC), Chaukori, having completed his intermediate education in 2024. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History at Motiram Baburam Government Post Graduate College, Haldwani, a subject that is also his primary interest. He received a HEF scholarship while he was pursuing his studies at HIC.

Ankit's father is a farmer, and his siblings are currently focused on their studies. Ankit himself has a clear career aspiration: to join the defence forces. Beyond his academic pursuits, he also has a keen interest in eSports.

Currently residing in Haldwani, Ankit enjoys gaming in his spare time, and his favorite movie is Mela.

Ankit harbors a strong desire to contribute to the betterment of his native village. He believes that more employment opportunities are crucial for improving the lives of its residents, and he envisions playing a role in the "upliftment" of the area.

Reflecting on his time at HIC, Ankit's favorite memory is the annual college day celebration. I had so much fun participating in it. He advises current HIC students to "focus on study."
