Himalaya Inter College
A nursery through class twelve school in the hill station of Chaukori, that provides high quality primary education to the rural children of the Pithoragarh district, and makes funds available for those who otherwise could not afford school fees. Learn more at himalayaintercollege.com
India Development Service USA
A non-profit organization supporting economic and social development in India since 1974. IDS has graciously supported various HEF projects with significant grants and advice since 2009. Learn more at idsusa.org
Maati Community
A Women’s Collective in the Indian Himalayas that is committed to addressing the struggles of the everyday lives of mountain women, struggles of livelihood and food security, and of a life free from violence. Based in Munsiyari, India. Learn more at maaticommunity.com
Himal Prakriti
A non-profit organization in the Indian Himalayas that aims to promote nature conservation and sustainable livelihoods in the Himalaya. Based in Munsiyari, India.
Harwood Union
High School Exchange Program
Students from Harwood Union High School are participating in an exchange program with Himalayan InterCollege. The first group of students traveled to Chakouri in April 2024. Learn more at harwood.org
